Hi, I am Nicola Bullen

I am an Occupational Health and Workforce Wellbeing leader with over 25 years’ experience helping organisations improve workforce health, productivity and organisational performance. Alongside my NHS leadership role, I work nationally with healthcare providers, digital health companies and commercial partners to translate clinical expertise into scalable, commercially successful solutions.

My experience spans occupational health, workforce strategy, absence management, employee wellbeing, digital health, clinical governance and service transformation. I have led large multidisciplinary services within the NHS, advised regional and national programmes and supported organisations to develop innovative products and partnerships that deliver measurable value for employers, healthcare providers and patients alike.

What excites me most is bringing together the right people to solve complex workforce and healthcare challenges. Whether supporting a founder with market strategy, helping shape a go-to-market approach, developing strategic partnerships or providing an independent advisory perspective, I focus on practical solutions that create sustainable growth.

Through the Zoas Collective, I help organisations navigate the complex intersection between the NHS, occupational health, workforce health and the wider healthcare ecosystem. I combine strategic thinking with real-world operational insight, enabling businesses to build credibility, develop meaningful partnerships and accelerate growth in a way that genuinely improves health outcomes.

I believe the best commercial success comes from creating lasting value for clients, partners and, ultimately, the people their solutions are designed to support.
